Sreekumaran Even as her colleagues like Meera Jasmine , Gopika , Asin and Nayanthara are doing well in neighbouring Kollywood, Malayalam actress Kavya Madhavan has chosen to remain within the confines of Malayalam cinema. Why? That is the million-dollar question agitating many a mind in Mollywood. The grapevine has it that Kavya is a bit wary of taking up assignments in Tamil after her bitter experiences there in the past. 
It is not as if Kavya has not done Tamil films. As a matter of fact, she did two films: ‘Kasi’ (in which Vikram was the hero) which is the remake of the Malayalam movie ‘Vasanthiyum’, ‘Lakshmiyum Pinne Nanum’ and ‘En Manavaanil’. Incidentally, both the films were directed by Vinayan. But as ill luck would have it, both films bombed. The buzz is that Kavya has developed cold feet after the twin flops. Now, what remains to be seen is whether the diminutive damsel, who is reigning supreme in Mollywood, muster the courage to make a fresh go at Tamil films. Are you ready to summon the nerve to do so, Kavya ? That is the question her countless fans seem to be asking silently. Meanwhile, her latest Malayalam movie ‘Anandhabahdram’ has been well received. She is also the highest paid actress in Mollywood.
