Sreekumaran Pretty Padmapriya is in the limelight in the wake of the success of Malayalam film, ‘Karutha Pakshikal’. In the film, Padma has done a totally deglamourised role - of a woman begging in the streets for sheer survival. 
Impressed by the performance of both hero Mammootty and Padmapriya, the Asian Net-Ujala has given her the best actress award. The film also won the Kerala State Best Film Critics Award, according to the grapevine. Expectedly, Padmapriya's stock has gone up following the acclaim ‘Karutha Pakshikal’ has earned. Pads has now been signed up for the lead role in a film titled ‘Aanandam’. Reports have it that she will play an urban and sophisticated girl in the movie. The Kavya Madhavans and Gopikas had better watch out! Padmapriya is snapping literally at their heels!
