There is no escaping the conclusion: The Mammootty juggernaut continues to roll on.
The Malayalam megastar's latest movie, Shafi-directed Mayavi , has had a fantastic opening, according to trade circles.
If the initial draw is any indication, Mammootty is all set to deliver another mega hit, says the Mollywood buzz.
The grapevine has it that ‘Mayavi’ could turn out to be the biggest hit of Mammootty since ‘Rajamanickyam’.
The three-time National Award winning actor must be happy to note that his other releases like ‘Palunku’ and ‘Kaiyyoppu’ are also doing reasonably well at the box office.
‘Palunku’, which was released at Christmas, is still drawing the family audience in large numbers.
Likewise, ‘Kaiyoppu’ also has been appreciated by serious moviegoers as well as the fans of the megastar.
This proves, if proof were needed that Malayalam cinema continues to be dominated by the megastars Mammootty and Mohanlal .
