The name Vimala Raman may not ring a bell as of now. But it soon will, says the Mollywood grapevine.
Vimala was the winner of Miss India-Australia Pageant in 2004. She represented Australia in the Miss India Worldwide Pageant in Jan 2005 in Mumbai.
Well, the beautiful belle has now taken Malayalam cinema by storm although her debut film is yet to see the light of the day.
The film, titled ‘Time’, has Vimala acting against action hero of Malayalam cinema, Suresh Gopi .
She is figuring in another Malayalam movie titled ‘Pranayakamal’, a movie depicting teenage love.
Vimala has, in the meantime, managed to bag another Malayalam film with Jayaram , titled ‘Surya’ and directed by VM Vinu.
Now, speculation is rife that she will replace Gopika as the heroine in megastar Mohanlal’s ‘Ali Bhai’.
As if all this is not enough, Vimala Raman is being actively considered to play the female lead in the Joshi-directed Mammootty starrer, according to the film buzz.
Now, the news must give a complex of sorts to top Malayalam heroines like Kavya Madhavan and Padmapriya.
Make no mistake about it. Vimala Raman is the heroine to watch in the coming days!
