It is a double delight for model-turned-heroine, Lakshmi Rai . The lovely lass is busy both in Kollywood as well as in Malayalam films.
In Malayalam cinema, Lakshmi hit the jackpot by playing the heroine of mega star Mohanlal . The film was ‘Rock n’ Roll’. Though the movie did not do too well at the box office, Ms Rai attracted attention with a delightful cameo.
Now, another ‘mega’ offer has come her way. This time, she has been signed up to play the female lead against the other Mollywood megastar, Mammootty . The film, to be directed by Anwar Rashid, will have Mammootty in a double role.
Meanwhile, offers have come from Kollywood as well. She is paired with Jayam Ravi in ‘Dhoom Dhoom’.
Another Tamil film of hers is the remake of Malayalam movie, Udayananu Tharam . In this film, Lakshmi will play the heroine against young actor Prithviraj who will enact the role Mohanlal did in the Malayalam original.
