It could well be the casting coup of the year. And all of Mollywood is abuzz with the excitement the news has engendered.
What, then, is the earth shaking tiding? You might ask. Here is the answer.
The take from Malayalam cinema is that the two reigning mega stars, Mammootty and Mohanlal may come together in a film after a prolonged gap.
And the man who is trying to bring the two giants of Malayalam cinema is noted producer and Mohanlal's close aide, Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirwad Cinemas.
The film, which will in all probability be titled ‘Hallo Mayavi’, will have the megastars playing their characters from Hallo (Mohanlal) and Mayavi (Mammootty).
The grapevine has it that both Mohanlal and Mammootty have given the go-ahead nod for the proposal.
The last time they came together was in Fazil's ‘Harikrishnans’.
It may turn out to be the Vishu gift for the fans of the two titans in 2009 if all goes well.
