Remember Khushboo had a phenomenal fan following a few years ago in Mollywood. Such was the craze for the reigning queen of yesteryears that fans even went to the extent of building a temple for her! 
But then, she chose to fade out of the silverscreen, to concentrate more on Tamil TV serials. After a while, she lost interest in the small screen, too. The next phase saw Khushboo taking up film production in a big way. Meanwhile, talk shows on TV also caught her fancy. Just as her fans were resigning themselves to the exit of their heroine from cinema, Khushboo sprang a surprise by deciding to stage a comeback of sorts. Surprisingly, she chose a Malayalam film as her comeback vehicle, not Tamil, which is her mother tongue. The talented actress will be daubing the greasepaint, once again, in the forthcoming Malayalam movie "Chandrolsavam" in which Megastar Mohanlal plays the hero. She may not be the heroine in the film. But Khushboo is enacting a key cameo in "Chandrolsavam", which will see Mohanlal sporting an entirely different look. In the event, Khushboo fans are happy. After all these years, they will get to see her back on the silverscreen. Doesn't matter, it will be in a Malayalam movie. What counts is that their favourite actress is back. And they are jubilant. What it shows is that Khushboo still retains her huge fan following.
