Of late, the soft-spoken hero has started dictating terms -- not only about his remuneration but also on the leading ladies in his films. That is the talk of Kollywood. Ironically, the victim of Maddy's changed attitude has been none other than Meera Jasmine , who has given a number of hits with Madhavan. Remember the movie "Run"? The film, which saw Mads and Meera pair for the first time, was a runaway success. They acted together again in Mani Rathan's "Aayudha Ezhuthu". 
But, as ill luck would have it, "Aayudha Ezhuthu" did not click at the box office the way "Run" did. The failure of that film gave Madhavan the jitters. So, when Meera was booked for another Madhavan-movie, the hero with the boy-next door image put his foot down. The message was: Meera should be dropped. The director had to do so reluctantly and opt for another heroine. The grapevine has it that Madhavan is scared of acting with heroines who are embroiled in controversies and those who figure prominently in gossip columns. That is why Ms Jasmine had to be kept out of the Madhavan-starrer. Whatever the reason, it is strange. For, Madhavan had a reputation of being an actor, who never gave his producers or directors any cause for offence.
