Buoyed by the stupendous success of Chandramukhi , Tamil superstar Rajnikant is said to be keen on jazzing up his reel life.
Consequently, Tamil film world is abuzz with speculation that the sultan of style may do the Tamil remake of Bollywood blockbuster Waqt – A Race Against Time .
The grapevine has it that "Editor" Mohan, who has bought the remake rights of "Waqt", is eager to have Rajni in the title role.
If the plan fructifies, Rajni will do the role Amitabh Bachchan did in "Waqt" and Mohan's son Jeyam Ravi that of Akshay Kumar .
Things are expected to hot up as soon as Rajni, away in Rishikesh, is back in Chennai.
Five producers, including Panchu Arunachalam and Purnachandra Rao are also said to be anxious to snap up deals with the superstar, who is riding the roller coaster in the wake of the fabulous run "Chandramukhi" is enjoying.
Industry sources say that "Chandramukhi" has turned out to be the top Rajni grosser, exceeding even the fabulous earnings of his earlier film "Padayappa".
If all goes well, P Vasu will direct the Tamil remake of "Waqt", according to the buzz in Mollywood, although "Editor" Mohan wants his son Raja to wield the megaphone.
But circles close to Rajni say that the superstar is unlikely to let down P Vasu in view of the 'fantastic" job he has done in "Chandramukhi".
