He is in the mid-sixties. But the man continues to hit headlines and create news -- on the reel, that is.
Well, the buzz from Kollywood is that the "Shahenshah" of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan may act in the Hindi remake of the Rajnikant -starrer Chandramukhi .
What has reinforced speculation in this regard is the frequent flights between Chennai and Bangalore undertaken by director of Chandramukhi, P. Vasu.
Incidentally, Bachchan is doing a Kannada film, which requires him to be in the Karnataka capital frequently.
The Sivaji combines, which producedChandramukhi, is said to be keen on Vasu himself directing the Hindi version as well.
An interesting tidbit doing the rounds in Kollywood is that Rajnikant may return the compliments by acting in the Tamil remake of Bachchan's Waqt - A Race Against Time . Producer 'Editor' Mohan has already acquired the rights of the Bachchan starrer.
