At a time when she should be busy doing films, the dimpled dame seems to have done the vanishing act. Why? That is the question uppermost in the minds of her innumerable fans in Kollywood. 
Laila's latest, "Ullam Ketkume" won critical acclaim apart from clicking at the box office. Laila, who played a livewire college student in the movie, got rave reviews for her fabulous performance. It was, in a way, a comeback of sorts for the lovely actress. But, then, for inexplicable reasons, she has made herself scarce, puzzling the producers, who are keen to snap her up for future films. Well, the grapevine is abuzz that lissome Laila has settled down in Mumbai with the aim of securing a firm foothold in Bollywood. That's why she is not to be seen in Kollywood. Whatever the reason, Laila's decision is Kollywood's loss, agree film buffs as well as critics. Laila made her debut in "Kallazhagar". Then came "Paarthen, Rasithen", which made her famous. In "Pithamagan" she showed her acting ability. And "Ullam Ketkume" proved, if proof was needed, that she is a top-order actress. With such impeccable credentials, Laila should have stuck to her home ground. Her innumerable fans hope the beautiful belle would change her mind and return to Kollywood.
