Is saucy Sneha feeling insecure on her home turf? Her latest moves reinforce the suspicion that the 'sultana of smiles’ has indeed been assailed by doubts on staying at the top in Tamil films.
You can't blame her if she is plagued by a sense of unease. Her latest film Chinna -- she had pinned great hopes on it -- has done nothing to give her career a much-needed leg-up.
In sheer desperation, Sneha seems to have decided to foray into the neighbourhood to try her luck there.
As luck would have it, reigning Kollywood queen Jyothika opted out of ‘Sri Ramadasu’ featuring Nagarjuna in the male lead citing personal reasons. It was a godsend gift for the Sneha girl. And the dimpled dame accepted the role with alacrity.
There was more luck coming her way. In the neighbouring Mollywood, the director of the upcoming Mammootty -starrer ‘Thuruppu Gulan’ was on the lookout for two heroines. Sneha managed to snap up the chance. The other heroine is Tollywood topnotcher Trisha .
The two deft moves, says the grapevine, would go a long way to bolster Sneha's sagging fortunes on the silver screen.
