Sreekumaran Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan 's upcoming film ‘Vettayadu Vilayadu’ has run into rough weather with the US Consulate refusing to give visas to the cast and crew to shoot the film in America. Needless to say, the decision will upset the release schedule of the film, which is being directed by Gowtham Menon. 
According to the grapevine, the issue would be sorted out and shooting would commence soon. It remains to be seen whether the hope of the crew will materialise. This is the second time the film has suffered a setback. Earlier, producer Kaja Mohiuddin tried to commit suicide owing to financial problems. The episode caused a long delay in the shooting of ‘Vettayadu Vilayadu’. But Kamal and director Menon rushed to the rescue of the distraught producer, and shooting was resumed. The latest setback has once again put a question mark over the release of the much-awaited film in which Jyothika plays the female lead.
