But Trisha Krishnan has her feet firmly planted on earth. The topper in Telugu cinema proved it with a touching gesture recently. The occasion was when producer S A Chandrashekhar approached her for a role in his forthcoming film, Aadhi, in which his son, Vijay is the hero. The beautiful belle readily accepted the offer, but shied away from specifying her fee. The happy-go-lucky heroine left it to Chandrashekhar himself! There is a reason behind Trisha's reluctance to dictate terms to the likes of Chandrashekhar and Vijay. After all, she made it big in Kollywood as well as in Telugu cinema only after two of her films with Vijay, Killi and Tirupachi turned out to be smashing hits. She has not forgotten the good turn both the father and son duo has done to her in her struggling days. Hence the refusal to bargain on her fee with Vijay's father. In fact, Trisha recently commanded a fee of Rs one crore for a Telugu film, becoming, in the process, the first heroine in South to get Rs 1 crore salary. The buzz is that, touched by her gesture, director Chandrashekhar gave her an amount that is commensurate with her status in the industry. Nice to know that, in the cut-throat world of films, there still are a few who do not forget their past and their mentors. Well done, Trisha!
