The 'pooja' of a Rajnikant film is usually an occasion for celebration in Kollywood.
But these are not normal times in Kollywood because of the damage caused by unprecedented rains in Tamil Nadu and the consequent human toll it entailed.
That is the reason why, this time around, the pooja for the Tamil superstar's next film, ‘Sivaji’ was a hush-hush affair, devoid of the pomp and glitz associated with the earlier events.
Consequently, the low-key 'pooja' was held on the third floor of the AVM Studio. Rajni, who attended the 'pooja', was received by AVM Sharavanan, another producer Guhan and director Shankar , among others.
Others who graced the occasion were heroine Shriya , writer Sujata, lyricist Vairamuthu, music composer A R Rahman 's mother and cinematographer KV Anand.
Incidentally, ‘Sivaji’ is the 169th film to be produced under the banner of AVM in its 60th year.
Shooting of ‘Sivaji’, according to the grapevine, is scheduled to start in Hyderabad on December 15.
