Sreekumaran The number two in Tamil film world, Vijay finds himself well and truly on a slippery wicket. Things were quite hunky dory for the boyish looking hero, known as the ‘Ilaya Dalapathi’ in Kollywood. But then came the bolts from the blue. 
The first setback came in the form of dark clouds. Vijay's ‘Sivakasi’ had had a fantastic opening at the box office. But then, rain literally played the spoilsport. The torrential rains that lashed Tamil Nadu also took a heavy toll on the run of latest films. Vijay was its principal victim. Then followed the legal jolt. A court issued a non-bailable warrant against the handsome hero. His offence: failure to appear before the court despite repeated summons in connection with a case filed against ‘Sivakasi’. The case had been filed in protest against what the petitioner called the poor light in which advocates had been portrayed in the Vijay starrer. The plea of Vijay's lawyer that the star was busy shooting in the cooler climes of Ootty did not impress the magistrate, who promptly slapped the non-bailable warrant against the popular actor. Misfortune does not come alone, goes the saying. In the case of Vijay, it is a double whammy: first the rain damper and then the legal heat! Our sympathies are with the Crown Prince of Kollywood!
