Icing on the cake for Asin: A film with Kamal Haasan!

Actress Asin is on cloud nine. Why not? The year 2005 has been a fabulous one for the Kerala-born Christian girl, who is riding high in Tamil films.

Agreeable Asin has had a dream run in Kollywood in the year that will be history soon. She has acted with all the top heroes of Tamil cinema with the exception of superstar Rajnikant .

Two of her films Ghajini with Suriya and Sivakasi with Vijay have turned out to be super hits. Another film with Vikram , Majaa , has also had a good run.

‘Godfather’, featuring Asin and Ajit, is about to see the light of the day.

It is not as if Asin is a Kollywood-specific actress. In neighbouring Tollywood too, she is making her presence felt. Her next Telugu film: ‘Annavaram’ in the company of Pawan Kalyan. Shooting of the film is expected to begin by January end.

Now comes the icing on the cake as it were. The buzz is that the hassles-free heroine is all set to rub shoulders with the other superstar of Tamil cinema, Kamal Haasan on the silver screen.

The grapevine is abuzz that Kamal will have Asin as one of the heroines in his forthcoming film Dasavatharam. The film will go on the floors as soon as Kamal is through with his work on Vettayadu Vilayadu.

Now, with such a phenomenal run, can you blame Asin if she goes about wearing a big smile these days?
