The super-sensuous glam doll of Kollywood wants to be known for her acting talent.
Namitha rues the fact that the majority of film offers she gets are aimed at showcasing her glamour and sensuous appeal rather than testing her acting mettle.
Particularly in an industry where films are more hero-centric and heroines are mostly for lovey-dovey scenes and dancing around the tress, Namitha is hoping to be different.
“I am not averse to glamour roles. But I want to prove a point that I can do any character with ease…Though movies like ‘Engal Anna’, ‘Hey’, ‘Maha Nadigan’ showcased my acting skills, the rest did not help my cause,” the buxom actress is quoted by an entertainment site.
Namitha is presently acting in about half-a-dozen movies.
Among them, the film that will showcase her acting talent is Babu Ganesh’s ‘Nadigayin Diarikurippu’ in which she plays nine roles.
Nams is also reported to be acting alongside Parthiban in his ‘Pachchakkuthirra’.
On the glamour front, she is said to have done a sizzling item number in the company of Sathiaraj and son Sibiraj in ‘Kovai Brothers’.
