She was born a Keralite. But she had to hop over to Tollywood to make her presence felt in the tinsel world. Then she conquered Tamil cinema too.
You must have guessed the name already. Yes, the heroine in focus is the Malayali Christian girl, Asin .
And the hottest tiding from Kollywood is that the agreeable Asin is all set to make her debut in Bollywood as well.
The Bollywood debut could well be in the Hindi remake of the AR Murugadoss-directed super hit Tamil flick, Ghajini .
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan was so impressed by ‘Ghajini’ and Asin's work in it that he has decided to go for a Hindi version of the Tamil original.
The movie, says the grapevine, will in all probability directed by Murugadoss himself.
And the buzz is also that Asin, who played the heroine in the Tamil original, may get Aamir's nod for the female lead in the Hindi remake too. Only an official announcement remains to be done, it is learnt.
No wonder Asin is all agog these days. If she makes it, Asin will have beaten arch rival (on silver screen, that is) Nayanthara to it.
