It is now official. Bollywood actor Nana Patekar has confirmed his participation in the Tamil film titled ‘Bheema’.
According to the grapevine, the film’s producer AM Rathnam reportedly met Nana who was shooting for a Hindi film, in Goa recently, to get his confirmation.
Patekar will play a pivotal role in the Lingusamy-directed flick in which Vikram and Trisha Krishnan will play the male and female leads respectively.
Patekar, who was paid a hefty sum, is expected to begin shooting sometime in May, it is learnt.
The first phase of the shooting of ‘Bheema’ is expected to start in Chennai, according to the grapevine. The unit may then move over to Hyderabad later.
A lot is at stake for Vikram as he has not given a big hit since the phenomenal run of the Shanker-directed Anniyan . The film that he did after ‘Anniyan’, Majaa flopped at the box office.
Bollywood veteran Patekar’s presence is likely to provide the extra edge needed to make Bheema a success story.
