Some have the bread buttered on both sides. If all goes well, Shriya , who is playing heroine in Rajnikant 's film in the making, ‘Sivaji’, will figure in the film of the other superstar of Kollywood, Kamal Haasan too.
Speculation emanating from Kollywood is that Shriya is set to play the female lead in Kamal Haasan's forthcoming magnum opus ‘Dasavatharam’ as well.
Incidentally, Trisha and Asin had declined the offer to act with Kamal Haasan in the film. It was then Shriya was approached.
But there is a hurdle. Shriya cannot agree to act in the Kamal movie unless she gets the go-ahead from the director of ‘Sivaji’, Shanker. The contract prevents her from doing any other film during the making of ‘Sivaji’.
The grapevine is abuzz that ‘Dasavatharam’ director KS Ravikumar has managed to get the approval of Shanker in the matter. As per the 'understanding', ‘Dasavatharam’ will see the light of the day only after the release of ‘Sivaji’.
So, it looks like Shriya may end up having the cake and eating it too!
