Jayaprada recently met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, whose mastery in Tamil literary classics and penchant for Tamil culture was well known, and sought his blessings and support.
In a representation, she appreciated his government's financial assistance to dub the film 'Ambedkar' in Tamil and to produce a film on rational leader 'Periyar' E V Ramasamy. Similarly, she sought his assistance and support to produce a film on Kannagi.
Stating that it was her cherished dream to play the role of 'Kannagi', the actress said the film would be made using the latest techniques and high quality special effects.
