The agonizing suspense is over at last, and Tamil cinema is the better for it.
Well, the hot news from Kollywood is that the popular jodi of Tamil films, Asin and Surya are back together.
The last film they did together was Ghajini , which became one of the biggest blockbusters Tamil cinema has seen in recent years. But, surprisingly, the runaway success of ‘Ghajini’ did not result in the duo being paired again.
‘Jillenru Oru Kadhal’ was the only film in which the Asin-Surya pair was repeated. But Asin opted out of the film for personal reasons.
Now, all that is a thing of the past. And, they are coming together in the Hari-directed flick titled ‘Vel’. The shooting of the much-delayed ‘Vel’ will start in June. But the grapevine has it that, Asin will be able to participate in the shooting only in August and September.
The reason is that, in the interregnum, Asin will be busy with the shooting of her Bollywood debut film, the remake of ‘Ghajini’ in which Aamir Khan is the hero.
Whatever the reason, the fans of Surya and Asin are happy that their dream pair will again sizzle on the silver screen, albeit after a long gap.
