The temptation to resist the allure of greener pastures has proved too much for comely Malayalam heroine, Kavya Madhavan , too.
Kavya, it may be remembered, had refused to join the host of Malayalam actresses who made a beeline to Tamil cinema so far except for a brief foray years ago.
According to the grapevine, Kavya had made a brief appearance in a Tamil film titled ‘En Mana Vaanil’ a few years ago. Since the attempt failed to yield results, Ms Madhavan beat a retreat.
But now, Kollywood has beckoned her again. And this time around, Kavya has nodded her assent.
The buzz is that she would act in a Tamil movie titled ‘Sadhu Mirandal’. The film would be directed by Siddhque, who has directed the Tamil remake of the Mammootty starrer, ‘Chronic Bachelor’.
And Kavya’s hero in the film, shooting for which will begin shortly, is Prasanna , according to reports emanating from Kollywood.
Let us hope, Kavya’s second shy getting a foothold in Tamil cinema would succeed.
