Pretty heroine Priyamani is beside herself with joy, and soaking in all the adulation that has come her way.
Why not? The lovely heroine has just won the best actress award at the recently concluded Osean's cine-fan festival in New Delhi.
Her riveting performance as a village girl who meets with a tragic end in the film titled Paruthiveeran fetched her the award.
The film, directed by Ameer, won rave reviews at the festival, and was highly appreciated.
The film deals with the relationship between a criminal and a girl belonging to a respectable family.
Understandably, the heroine is over the moon. She attributes it all to the director Ameer who chose a sensitive theme rarely seen in a Tamil film.
Well, with ‘Paruthiveeran’, pretty Priyamani has well and truly arrived. Are Tamil directors and producers listening?
