Are Tamil superstar Rajnikant and ace director Mani Ratnam planning to do a film together?
According to Kollywood grapevine, the answer to this question is in the affirmative.
If the project materialises, it will be the second team the two would be teaming up. Their first film together was way back in 1991.
The film titled 'Thalapathy' featured, apart from Rajnikant, Malayalam megastar Mammootty , Shobhana and Bhanupriya.
The film went on to become a smashing hit, buttressed by some foot-tapping numbers from maestro Illayaraja .
Meanwhile, Rajni made a quiet visit to Hyderabad the other day. The purpose was to attend the wedding of Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu's son with popular actor Balakrishna's daughter.
