Versatile actor Kamal Haasan , donning the grease paint for ten diverse roles in his yet-to-be-released film Dasavatharam , has played it to the hilt by dubbing in ten different voices for the characters.
A release from Oscar Films Private Limited, which produced the film with a whopping budget, said audiographer Sridar had selected different mikes for each of the ten characters.
''It is a very intricate job to record and reproduce the subtitles. Kamal has brought life into these characters without any digital add ons,'' Sridar said.
Asin had dubbed for the first time in this film, that too with Brahmin slang, the release said.
The other highlights of the films were that the visual effects were handled by three different software companies. Each company had employed about 100 of its best graphics designers to deliver the desired output.
Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, who had seen the photographs of Kamal's ten characters, had called up his friend and lyricist Vairamuthu, who was away in Australia, to share his appreciation and joy.
A delighted Kamal said ''the fact that Mr. Karunanidhi enjoyed the photographs and pinched his cheek with affection as if he were a kid, is equivalent to celebrating the success of the film.''
