Tamil cinema's Number one heroine of yesteryears, Khushboo has an uncanny knack for courting controversies.
The latest controversy is that the actress was found wearing chappals while sitting in front of idols of goddesses at a film pooja in Chennai.
An enraged Hindu Munnani activist, Gurumurthy filed a complaint against the heroine in court accusing her of hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus by sitting with chappals on in front of Goddesses, Saraswathy, Lakshmi and Parvathi during a pooja for the "muhurat" at Chennai on November 22, 2007.
The activist has sought action against Khushboo under Section 295 and 295(A) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Hearing on the admissibility of the complaint will be held on December 3, according to Kollywood sources.
Khushboo had earlier landed in controversies over her remarks on sex education, forcing political parties like the PMK to seek her apology.
