HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | DOWN SOUTH : TAMIL Raghuvaran passes away 19th Mar 2008  13.00 IST By Agencies   Veteran actor Raghuvaran passed away in a Chennai hospital today morning following a brief illness. Raghuvaran, 49, is survived by his ex-wife and son. He was admitted to a private hospital following an ailment about a week back. His funeral will be held this evening, family sources said. Raghuvaran was married to actress Rohini. However, their marriage was a short-lived one and ended in divorce. He acted in more than 80 films in Tamil and Malayalam and had bagged many awards, including the Tamil Nadu government's 'Kalaimamani' award and best character artiste award. He had acted with all top actors, including superstar Rajnikant and Kamal Haasan . The actor had carved a niche for himself with his special style and voice modulation.
