There are many theories regarding the subject of the Tamil superstar’s Marmayogi . According to one line of speculation, ‘Marmayogi’ (Mysterious Saint) would be a children’s film with lots of special effects. Kamal will play a guide in the movie. 
But according to another theory, ‘Marmayogi’ will be a remake of the Hollywood film ‘The Saint’ which starred Val Kilmer and Elizabeth Shue. The movie had Kilmer playing a high-profile thief who assumed different identities and names. Given Kamal’s fascination for playing such roles, it might be possible that ‘Marmayogi’ is based on ‘The Saint’. According to third theory, ‘Marmayogi’ could be a remake of Mel Gibson’s Oscar-winning movie ‘Braveheart’. Kamal has been growing a thick beard of late and has been sporting long untidy hair that has led to the speculation that he is preparing to play a warrior in a period drama on the lines of ‘Braveheart’. Kamal Haasan himself has not yet spoken about the film’s storyline. What is confirmed, however, is that ‘Marmayogi’ will be directed by Kamal. The actor has previously directed three films – Hey Ram , ‘Virumaandi’ and Mumbai Xpress . ‘Marmayogi’ would be produced by Rajkamal Movies in association with Pyramid Saimira Theatre Ltd.
