Namitha presses the panic button

According to sources downsouth, Namitha pressed the panic button after receiving flak from her fans who criticised her flabby tummy in her recent releases. Incidentally, she also signed ‘Deshadrohi’ in which she plays a cop and had to shed a lot of weight to slip into the khaki pants.

But sources say even if ‘Deshadrohi’ hadn’t come Namitha’s way, she would still have sweated out in gyms because she wants to acquire a covetable body figure, without losing her precious curves albeit.


The actress is already believed to have lost a good 9 kg and hopes to shed a couple of more kilos in the coming weeks and months.

Sources say Namitha has been advised by her well-wishers that she should be wary of becoming too overweight. It’s true that thin actresses get a bum rap downsouth, but the overweight ones too don’t get a fan following they once used to get.

So even after finishing ‘Deshadrohi’, Namitha plans to maintain her body figure.
