Shriya Saran – the girl of the moment

Shriya is excited about her two new films – ‘Kandasamy’ with Vikram and ‘Thoranai’ with Vishal .

In ‘Kandasamy’, directed by Susi Ganesan, she plays a stubborn girl. Shriya is particularly all praise for her co-star Vikram who she says is a “role model” for her and she looks at him with “awe and admiration”. In ‘Thoranai’ she plays a girl-next-door who works in a call centre. Shriya says it is a pure fun film with doses of comedy, action, romance and drama.


Apart from these two films, Shriya has some other plum projects in the south.

She’s working in a realistic movie called ‘Theeradha Vilayattu Pillai’ in which she shares screen space with two other actresses. She’s doing a comedy film with Dhanush . And she’s already started shooting for ‘Chikku Bukku’ with Arya . Production work is also underway on her film ‘Jaggubhai’ with Sarath Kumar .

Shriya is also making her debut in the English film titled ‘Stella’ by Dilip Mehta, Deepa Mehta’s brother.

Well, looks like Shriya sure is the girl of the moment.
