Trisha plays an Anglo-Indian

The movie pairs Trisha for the first time with Dhanush . Its story is said to be based on a real life incident that happened in Madurai a few decades back.

In the film, Dhanush plays a Madurai youth who goes through many upheavals in life. The actor is learnt to be going under rigorous preparation to get his character right. Sources say the film has Dhanush in a never-seen-before kind of role.


On the other hand, Trisha plays an Anglo-Indian girl who falls in love with Dhanush. But the duo’s love faces opposition from many quarters.

The film would be shot in Madurai from Feb 22.

Trisha’s pairing with young Dhanush is seen as a positive development for the actress who has paired with much older heroes in the recent past.

Apart from ‘Aadukalam’, Trisha is also set to play the love interest of Silambarasan in Gautham Menon’s film ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya’.

Trisha is also set to do two Telugu film – one with Gopichand and another with Venkatesh .
