He once strode the Telugu film world like a Colossus, a true monarch of all that he surveyed. Alas, Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi seem to be going through a rough patch now.
Chiranjeevi, who is the first star in the south to command a Rs one crore fee, is desperate for a hit these days.
As ill luck would have it, the film on which he had pinned big hopes, ‘Antharivadu’, flopped, shocking his myriad fans.
The setback has come for Chiru at a time when lesser stars are making it big in Tollywood. No wonder if the superstar is feeling low.
So, what is he planning to do in his hour of distress? The grapevine is abuzz that Chiru has turned to the director of superhit Anniyan to bail him out of reel trouble.
Incidentally, the Telugu version of ‘Anniyan’, ‘Aparachitudu’ is doing remarkably well at the box office.
Reports have it that Chiranjeevi and Shankar will team up to produce a hit that would chase away the career blues of the superstar.
