He bestrides the Telugu film world like a colossus. It has been a fabulous year for the living legend of Telugu cinema and the man in focus, Chiranjeevi .
Awards and accolades have come thick and fast and with unfailing regularity , says the Tollywood buzz.
It was a momentous occasion when Chiru was conferred with the Padma Bhushan award this year.
On the reel front, his latest flick, Stalin has broken all records in collection tin the 75-year Telugu film industry.
The film, directed by Murugadoss, has grossed Rs 30 crore in 30 days, according to Trade circles, a feat accomplished by no other Telugu film earlier.
Now comes the icing on the cake, as it were. The Andhra University has decided to honour Chiranjeevi by conferring a doctorate on him.
The doctorate will be conferred by former Andhra Governor Dr. Rangarajan on November 6.
No wonder, Chiranjeevi, the pride of Andhra, continues to be revered by his millions of ardent fans.
