Kamal Haasan to work with Venkatesh

And the Telugu version will have Venkatesh , essaying Anupam Kher ’s character.

Along with UTV, Kamal will produce this film in three languages, Tamil, Telugu and Malyalam. According to sources, Kamal wants Venkatesh to play the character of cop in Telugu remake. And the Telugu star has given his nod for the project to be directed by Chakri.


‘A Wednesday’, a small budget film with Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher in the lead, is the story of a common man’s war against terrorism. Kamal is gearing up for Naseeruddin Shah’s character of a common man. He has roped another southern superstar Mohanlal for Tamil and Malyalam versions to play Kher’s character of police chief.

This will be the first time that Venkatesh gets to share screen space with Kamal. Venkatesh was supposed to act in Kamal’s dream project Marmayogi but because of monetary issues the movie has been put onto the backburner.

A huge set is likely to be erected in Hyderabad for the shoot of ‘A Wednesday’ remake. The movie will go on floors from March. And Kamal is not leaving any stone unturned for this project. He has even convinced Kirankumar Koneru of ‘Siddham’ fame to part with remake rights of the movie to make it his own baby.
