Ace Indian fashion designer Ritu Beri, who is making a slow transition from Haute Couture to Prêt-a-porter is in Paris to showcase her latest Spring/Summer collection 2002.
The collection, tentatively titled "B6Y" (for Be Sexy or Beri Sexy) is scheduled to be showcased on October 12.
The outfits and designs (mainly in trendy denim and feminine chiffon, come under the "regular and wearable line," in Ritu's words. "It's about looking sexy without revealing much."
A special preview of Ritu Beri's collection was held last week at Djinns, Hyatt Regency. Top models like Swareena Singh, Joey Mathews, Sapna Kumar and Indrani Dasgupta sashayed down the catwalk sporting elaborate Afro fuzzy wigs and a melange of meticulously designed outfits.
Sequined, low-waisted pants are quite predominant in Beri's collection.
