Winning the Miss World crown is the next goal of Miss India-World Gadde Sindhura .
Declaring that winning the Miss World crown in December as her immediate goal, Pond's Femina Miss India World 2005 titleholder Gadde Sindhura said on Saturday that she intended to actively involve herself in community development with focus on children and health industry.
“I have a lot of things in common with my pageant predecessors Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta ,” Sindhura, native of Vijayawada and now settled in New Zealand, told a press conference.
“They don't act. They speak from their hearts as I do,” she said.
She said she would work for the cause of cancer patients. Even before winning the title, she was involved in social service and referred to her association with the Lions Foundation in Sri Lanka for rehabilitating those affected by the December 26 tsunami.
The celebrity status would certainly help in doing charity on a large scale, she added.
Admitting that “for beauty pageant winners, there are a lot more avenues than merely getting into the glamour industry,” Sindhura said she would consider good offers from Bollywood or Tollywood only after winning the Miss World title.
