IIFA : Bollywood stars walk the ramp 17th June 2006

On the second day of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) weekend in Dubai, Bollywood stars showed they can walk the ramp as good as they can act before the camera.
The glitz and glamour of tinsel town was resplendent on the catwalk as Ayesha Takia , Karan Johar , Feroz Khan and Shiamak Davar displayed creations by fashion designers Manish Malhotra and Vikram Phadnis at the World Trade Centre in Dubai.
Karan Johar looked very suave sashaying down the ramp in a Manish Malhotra outfit. On the other hand, Feroz Khan looked dashing, Ayesha Takia was gorgeous and Shiamak Dawar handsome in the vibrant creations of Vikram Phadnis. It is learnt that 17 international make-up artists had been brought for the style quotient of the celebrities and models.
Actress Dia Mirza hosted the ceremony for the most part. Karan Johar moonlighted as host for a while, regaling audiences with onstage interviews of actors Anil Kapoor , Lara Dutta and Ritesh Deshmukh .
The event also saw electrifying performances from percussion king Sivamani and British Asian hip-hop artists 'Hunters'.
The show, a charity event by the IIFA foundation to support families of people who worked in the film industry, was the first time organisers decided to switch from sports to fashion.
