Sameera, Riya add Bollywood flavour to Fashion Week

The presence of film stars has added a Bollywood flavour to the ongoing spring-summer edition of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week in Delhi.

The event, organized by Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), will feature the latest creations from over 75 leading fashion and accessory designers from across the country. The prominent names among them are Ritu Kumar , Rina Dhaka , Rohit Bal , Ashish Soni , Tarun Tahiliani and Manish Malhotra .

On the opening day of the event on Wednesday, Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal made a cameo appearance at the Rohit Bal show.

And now, Bollywood actresses Sameera Reddy and Riya Sen will add extra Bollywood flavour to the event.

Sameera would preview the Manish Malhotra collection, while Riya is slated to attend a seminar on hair care and hair styling trends.

“The presence of both the stars are sure to give a boost to the fashion event,” an official of the FDCI is quoted as saying.

The first day of WLIFW featured collections from Manish Arora, Rohit Gandhi-Rahul Khanna, Jatin Kochhar and Rohit Bal.

Designers Jatin Varma, Araiya, Gauri and Nainik, Ayesha Depala, Manav Gangwani, Falguni and Shane Peacock would be presenting their collections on the second day.

Varma’s collection, themed 'Trip to Spain', is inspired from Spanish architecture. Araiya's collection, themed 'White versus Whisky', includes breezy hues of plum, lily green and sky blue.

WLIFW will conclude on September 3.
