Winning a beauty pageant automatically opens a door to Bollywood. But this year’s Femina Miss India-World is not using her prerogative.
Parvathy Omanakuttam, who has become the first Malayali girl to be crowned with any Miss India title, is not tempted by Bollywood, even though filmmakers have been queuing up to sign her.
Reason? The gorgeous belle says she wants to fully focus on the Miss World contest to be held in Ukraine in October this year.
"I have received offers from Bollywood but have not taken them seriously because right now I am preparing for the contest", she says.
Parvathy hopes to “make India proud” by repeating the success of her predecessors like Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra who have won Miss World titles in the past.
A graduate in English honours, Parvathy hopes to complete her studies in MBA after the Miss World pageant. Though she hasn’t ruled out pursuing an acting career, but Bollywood has to wait till the time she is ready.
Early this month, besides winning the Femina Miss India-World title Parvathy also won the Femina Miss Beautiful Hair, Femina Miss Photogenic and Femina Miss Personality sub-titles.
