Naomi Campbell to walk the ramp at Lakme Fashion Week!

The dusky supermodel will not only walk the ramp but also collaborate with Lakme Fashion Week to promote fashion in a way that can be beneficial for the victims or 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai. Naomi initiated ‘Fashion For Relief’ in the year 2004 to galvanize the creativity and generosity of the fashion community in times and places of need. The initiative helped the victim of hurricane Katrina in the US.

Now, Naomi is coming to Mumbai for the fashion show ‘Mai Mumbai’ (I am Mumbai) organized by ‘Fashion For Relief’ along with her good friend, the US-based hotelier and celeb-socialite Vikram Chatwal and an international event management company. Campbell will be the show stopper for the 'Mai Mumbai' show on the 28th of March. The show will be held to aid the victims of 26/11 terror attacks.


As a result of 'Mai Mumbai’, the Lakme Fashion Week will have renowned Indian fashion designers and international ones showing their creations on one platform. The fashion-for-cause event will combine India's best models, apnaBollywood stars, national level athletes, socialites and business leaders. And the outfits will be auctioned to raise funds for the victims of 26/11.

This year, Lakme Fashion Week, Fall Winter 2009 is commencing from March 27th and will continue till 31st. And it will have some iconic people from the International Fashion arena like YSL, Roberto Cavalli, Marthew Williamson, Donna Karan, Carolina Harrera, Isaac Mizrahi, Versace, Diane Von Fursenburg, Anna Sui and Manolo Blahnik.
