Pooja Chopra singularly focused on Miss World pageant

From morning to night, Pooja's daily schedule is chock-a-block with preparations for the crown that hasn't been won by any Indian beauty since Priyanka Chopra in year 2000. Nine years have passed, and Pooja, who was crowned Miss India-World earlier this year, is determined to win the jewel-studded tiara.

"I can't tell you how busy I am with Miss World preparations. It demands full concentration and at this moment winning the crown holds top priority in my life," Chopra is quoted by a news agency.


Pooja is undergoing different kinds of preparations to be her best at the pageant.

"I start my day at 5.30 a.m. and after a hectic daily schedule I try to hit the bed by 11.00 p.m. I devote equal time to gym, diction, catwalk classes and my daily sessions with the dietician. Apart from this if I have to go to some event, then things become very hectic," 23-year-old Pooja told the agency.

Miss World 2009 will be held in South Africa. Last year, India's Parvathy Omanakuttan missed the crown by just a whisker. She was the first runner up.
