Ashley Judd prefers Yoga to pills

Yoga has made a big difference for Hollywood actress Ashley Judd to combat depression.

Ashley, who was diagnosed bipolar a decade ago, says her Yoga mat is like her rock.

Femalefirst quoted Judd as saying: "My mat is a safe place. I'll go into Child's pose or I'll simply sit on it and cry. It's my rock. I haven't been depressed in a while, but it's something I know how to look for in my life. Yoga has made a big difference there."

The 'Kiss The Girls' actress said that all that comes with yoga was more helpful to her than pills she was prescribed.

"I try to remember that true happiness is not dependant on circumstances and conditions. That said, there might be a time in my life when medication is appropriate for me again," she is quoted as saying.

Besides Judd, Gwyneth Paltrow is another Hollywood star who has embraced Yoga in her lifestyle. In fact, Paltrow is teaching Yoga to her fourteen-month-old daughter too.
