Reports have it that Hollywood beauty Uma Thurman has invited the Bollywood stars to a special dinner party hosted by her.
If the buzz is to be believed, India-born filmmaker Mira Nair and the leading stars of her acclaimed film The Namesake – Irrfan Khan and Tabu – have been invited to dinner by Uma Thurman.
Mira Nair and Uma have known each other for many years now. They formed a bonding while working in Nair’s HBO film ‘Hysterical Blindness’ that had Thurman playing a single woman looking for love in wrong places. Uma won a Golden Globe for her performance in the film.
It is learnt that Thurman is keen to have Nair and ‘The Namesake’ actors for the dinner at her house in Manhattan, New York, tonight.
Irrfan, Tabu and Nair will attend the dinner, which is also likely to see a good many stars from Hollywood.
Meanwhile, Vishal Bharadwaj’s attempts to have Thurman in his next film ‘Julia’ have come to naught.
