HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | HOLLYWOOD Garam Gossip : Priyanka Chopra in the next 'Superman' flick?01st June 2008 18.40 IST If the latest buzz is to be believed, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has been approached to play the ladylove of the popular superhero in the next ‘Superman’ flick. According to a report by Zee news, Hollywood director Bryan Singer is interested in casting an Indian female face in the movie’s proposed sequel ‘Man of Steel’. Report goes on to say that Singer personally went to see Priyanka while she was shooting Karan Johar’s film Dostana in Miami and he was pretty impressed by her work. 
Bryan reportedly wants Priyanka to play a scientist. But since there is no such Indian character in the Superman comic books, it is likely that Priyanka might either play Dr. Teng (Lex Luthor's female scientist assistant) or Mercy Graves (Lex’s bodyguard/mistress in the comics). Another thing that favours Priyanka for the role is that she was cast opposite Hrithik Roshan in India’s first superhero film Krissh . Not just this, Priyanka is also playing the love interest of another Indian superhero in the upcoming film Drona . Though media reports say Priyanka has given her nod to act in the next ‘Superman’ flick, there has been no official confirmation of this either by the actress or the Hollywood director. In the meantime, Priyanka has been confirmed for the sequel to director Farhan Akhtar’s action-suspense thriller Don . And the fourth of July would see the release of Priyanka’s much-awaited sci-fi film Love Story 2050 which marks the debut of her boyfriend Harman Baweja .
