HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | HOLLYWOOD Jade Goody diagnosed with cancer, exits from Bigg Boss19th Aug 2008 22.00 IST By ApunKaChoice British TV celebrity Jade Goody has bowed out of the Indian reality show ‘Bigg Boss 2’ after being diagnosed with cervical cancer. The show had debuted on Sunday night and Goody had stayed in the house for only two days before she got a call from her UK consultant who gave her the news of diagnosis. The medical tests were conducted early this month before Jade flew to India to participate in ‘Big Boss 2’. The show incidentally is being hosted by Shilpa Shetty whom Jade tormented with alleged racial remarks on last year’s British reality show ‘Celebrity Big Brother’. 
Jade had come to participate in ‘Bigg Boss’ particularly to improve her image in India. “The people of India have only seen a small part of me and I'd like to show them that there is more to me…I'm a mother of two, a businesswoman. I can't be all that bad,” Jade had said at the start of the reality show. Even Shilpa had displayed no malice towards Jade and had warmly welcomed her to the show. And when the news of Jade’s diagnosis reached Shilpa, the actress and the hostess of the show said she was saddened. “I am very saddened by the news. My prayers are with Jade and I do hope she is able to cope with the pain and come out of this difficult time soon,” Shilpa is quoted as saying. Jade has reportedly withdrawn from the Bigg Boss’s house and will be flying to London to start her treatment.
