But Akshay, who has completed 15 long years in Bollywood, says he wants to play every possible character in his career.
Talking to a leading newspaper, Akshay says, “I am a greedy man when it comes to acting. I want to play every possible character in my career. But I must clarify that I am not hungry for accolades and awards.”
Akshay adds that it is just a coincidence that 70 per cent of ‘Waqt’ is close to his life. But he says he is sure it is not just his story but of every father and son.
Akshay, who has bought the distribution rights and dedicated the film to his father says, “I lost my father to cancer. I decided to dedicate this film to him. I intend to give away my earnings to various cancer hospitals. It's just a small gift from a son to his father.”
On experimenting with roles of late Akshay had this to say, “I was bored with the action hero image and realised that it was time to move on. That's when I did films like Dhadkan , Sangharsh , Ajnabee , Hera-Pheri and Awara Paagal Deewana .
With his performance in all these flicks, one must say that his decision to experiment was certainly worth it.
