I admire how Jade has coped with illness: Shilpa

Shilpa, who went to London to meet Jade for the last time but could not, says Jade has coped with her illness bravely.

“I admire her spirit and the way she coped with illness. I spoke to her a few days prior to her wedding, she sounded very happy, sadly I couldn't make it,” she said.


Shilpa, who rose to fame after winning the ‘Big Brother’ reality show on British television despite scathing verbal attacks from Goody, says she has always felt a strange bond with her foe-turned-friend.

“I always felt that she and I were connected in a strange way. I believe she was a catalyst and the architect of my fame in Britain,” Shilpa said in a statement.

The actress added that she found Jade a very different person when she came to participate on Indian reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ which was hosted by Shilpa.

“That is where we met and spoke after two years and went on to becoming friends I really discovered a new Jade compared to the one I saw in 'Big Brother',” Shilpa revealed.

Shilpa said she hoped to meet Jade for one last time.

“Little did I know that the last time I spoke to her would actually be the last time,” Shilpa rued.

The actress added that she still hopes that some miracle happens.
