I've always been impressed by Hrithik: Sanjay Leela Bhansali

The debacle of Saawariya has not dampened his spirit. Bhansali, the master filmmaker is itching to get behind the camera again and direct another story that he believes in, despite all the flak he may have received for his last film.

The director says he is not going to change anything in his style of storytelling just to please the audiences. He has signed two of the best-looking Bollywood stars for the lead roles in the film.


“Hrithik and I wanted to work together for a very long time. I've always been impressed by his sincerity as an actor. I was waiting for the right opportunity to sign him. Working with Hrithik would be a new and rewarding experience,” Bhansali is quoted by a news agency.

The filmmaker is also gung-ho about working again with Ash after Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas .

“Aishwarya is very special to me. She suits the role in my new film to perfection. When she read the script, she was deeply moved,” Bhansali is quoted.

The director says Ash told him that she would've agreed to work with him even if he hadn’t sent her the script.

As Bhansali gears up for this film, he has put his other ambitious project ‘Heera Mandi’ on the backburner. He also denies having signed Pakistani actor Imran Abbas in the film.
